Election Day

It's crunch time for Canberra. Thankyou so much to all my helpers, big and little! I had a heap of people help me out across the electorate. Some of those I only met today, others are lifelong friends. I genuinely enjoyed the experience. Everyone was positive and it was wonderful to see the comradery between volunteers.

I visited every polling booth in Albury eating democracy sausages and cupcakes as well as catching up with other candidates as our paths crossed. A big thankyou to them for making it a decent contest. 

I would like to thank the Australian Electoral Commission staff who worked so hard to make the day run smoothly.

After close of voting it was off to Sodens Hotel for a celebratory drink and some nibbles.  Hats off to Evan and the staff for putting on a wonderful evening.  Great band, great food, great atmosphere.
