Week Three on the Campaign Trail!
Saturday
A nice relaxing day in Narrandera. Meetings in the morning then a picnic down by the river at Gogeldrie and in the afternoon a great match of footy. The Imps well and truly ruled the roost with a resounding 113 to 23 win against Leeton Whitton Crows. Great hotdogs and great conversations.
Sunday
On Sunday morning I was off to Yenda and the NSW Metal Detecting State Championship. I have never seen such fast swinging before! Of course my highlight of the morning was tea and scones from the lovely ladies of the Yenda CWA. In the afternoon I toured the district taking in Yanco, Whitton and Wamoon before settling in Leeton for an evening possum hunt.
Monday
I spent Monday in Griffith meeting local business owners. I bought a lovely fresh quince at the fruiterer and heard the lowdown on the latest Booker prize list from the bookstore on the top end. Monday evening was the Griffith Business Chamber Candidates Forum which had quite a crowd.
Tuesday
Tuesday morning I was at the Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service meeting the lovely Doctors and staff. By lunchtime I was in Jerilderie for a short stop in the park and some fruit. Then to Deniliquin for the NSW Farmers Candidates Forum. It was so good to catch up with friends and family on my home turf.
Wednesday
A round of mini golf in the morning then lunch and meetings in Corowa before arriving in Albury for the Better Border Health Candidates Forum.
